Tolstoy’s works left a profound mark on Western literature, particularly during the 20th century. A visit to his estate and house-museum will transport you to the environment where his masterpieces were born, allowing you to walk in the footsteps of a literary genius.

🚂 08:46 - 11:16 — Departure from Kursky Railway Station (Moscow) on the comfortable “Lastochka” high-speed train. Travel time: 2 hours 30 minutes.

🚉 11:16 — Arrival at Yasnaya Polyana Station and a brief stop at the exhibition at “Kozlova Zaseka” Station. This historic station is a living monument to Tolstoy’s legacy, where fans once gathered to meet the writer. It was here that Tolstoy boarded for the last time in 1910, leaving his homeland for the final time.

🚖 11:30 - 11:45 — Taxi ride to Yasnaya Polyana estate. Travel time: 5–10 minutes (5 km).

Your journey through Tolstoy’s world begins in his study, where the genius of his works unfolded, and continues through the dining room, where family life was preserved. 🚖 14:15 - 14:45 — Taxi ride to Tula. Arrival: 15:00 (12 km, 30 minutes).

🌇 15:00 — Sightseeing in Tula, including the Tula Kremlin and the newly developed pedestrian embankment. As the sun sets, the majestic towers of the Kremlin come into view, and a leisurely walk along the Upa River embankment offers perfect photo opportunities. Take a break for lunch at one of the nearby cozy cafés.

🌧️ Be prepared for changing weather conditions, especially when strolling through Tolstoy’s estate. The paths in the park may be damp and slippery, so we recommend wearing waterproof shoes 👞 and bringing an umbrella ☔.

Transportation and Schedule:

🚄 You can reach Tula by the comfortable high-speed train “Lastochka,” which is ideal for a day trip. Travel time: 2 hours 30 minutes. The train departs from Moscow at 08:46 and arrives in Tula at 11:16. For the return trip, the train departs from Tula at 20:21 and arrives in Moscow at 22:53.
